Drakonis Vocabulary

The vocabulary of Drakonis is where the language truly comes to life — where roots become words, and words become meaning. This living lexicon is shaped by centuries of imagined culture, divine influence, and the dragons’ pursuit of clarity through language.

Here you'll find a growing collection of Drakonis words, along with a translator that converts English into its Draconic equivalent. While the translator works word-for-word, it offers a glimpse into the evolving depth of the language. Whether you're crafting scrolls, naming relics, or just exploring the Spiral’s tongue, this tool is your gateway into the voice of Udari.

New words are added regularly as the world expands. Language, like fire, is ever burning — and this is where its sparks begin.

Instructions: This translator is capabable of translating English to Drakonis. You will see both the Romanized and Rune Script versions. Here are the things you should do to make this work and also properly format your English text to make it appear correctly.

  1. Type or copy/paste your text in the provided box, adjust as you need, and click the [Translate] button.

  2. Adjust your translation. Words will appear in blue, giving you to opportunity to change the intended meaning of a word, if more than one word match exists.

  3. Words that appear in red do not have Drakonis words for them. This translator is still young, new words can made, but takes a little time.

  4. Because Drakonis is a rune-based language, identifying proper-nouns is not as easy in English. The Alef mark signifies these in the script, which you can add by using the pipe (" | ") character. The use of the Amar mark (" ' ") can also identify this as well. If the translator determines that a proper noun exists in your text you will get the opportunity to further define its meaning

  5. You will have to provide the translator your intended script for the any identified proper nouns. Using a rune code you can do this. Separate a each rune with a " " space (this includes where you want the Amar placed if it exists with an apostrophe). The previewed script will appear. Note that if you see a "broken image" icon, that rune does not exist in Drakonis. You will need to adjust your rune code accordingly. Click the [Update in Script] button to make it appear in the Drakonis script below

  6. Once done, you can now copy and past any elements you want or print out for your friends.
