Ylri

Ylri is the northernmost region of Udari. However, due to the mild volcanic activity, the area is quite warm. Only the most northern parts get much snow. This region is also home to the Abiluscos di Helo, also known commonly as the Obelisk of Helo. It is a massive pillar that ascends the heavens, and is a site for prayer and enlightenment. Ylri, at its southernmost point is the access way to the Arlin Sanctuary through the Cresting Gate, Vndes Parte. Ylri contains five individually named forests and the Caverns of Time, Cevirnei Timparus.

The brass dragons have built their society here. Some villages and towns existed long before the War of the Magi, but most came much later. Those that pre existed the war went through many changes to where they are now. Before the sundering, eight towns lay scattered across the landscape. Four watchtowers also exist across this land, each meant to stand guard from invaders, or to just watch the comings and goings of others. These towers also serve a temporal purpose. Each is able to assist a brass dragon in viewing the past or future, or viewing elsewhere in the present. Only Avny the Oathkeeper was known to be able to make use of the fourth tower, capable of seeing visions beyond the scope of their domain. However, it was suspected that her daughter, Azenth, also possessed this gift. Eis Cestrom, the castle of the brass dragons is their seat power in the land. It’s last king was Lord Maldrand. The Timplom Chranalaguei, is a holy site established by Brieldresdyn, the Timeless One. He used the temple as a safe haven for brass dragons to come and help understand their power, and find serenity in a sea of visions that they were cursed to behold.

Vaedhe

The fertile farmlands of eastern Ylri across the river, were given to the black dragons in the short time between its establishment and the sundering. The lush green farmlands are an open plain with most settled right upon the Flomin Vutei, also later known as the river of life. The black dragon Kyndrinth saw harmony and meaning in the lands and its structure and believed there was divine purpose sewn into the landscape. To that end, he named the lakes that were joined by the River of Life; Lecos Netuvutetus, Lake of Birth, and Lecos Martus, Lake of Death. The river flowed from birth to death. Further east, mountains divide the green landscape into a harsh desert. Among these mountains is the area’s grandest peak, Espictos Mantus, the Sightless Mountain. Vaedhe also contains three unique forests, and a horrific cave. Called by the black dragons the Edorintubos Cevirnei, the walls bleed an acidic and caustic green sludge that forms into pools on the ground.

The black dragons enjoy the farmlands, but the true test of their strength takes place in the desert where Kyndrinth set up the black castle, Cestrom Nugrom. Five towns and farms rest on the west side of the desert. Two additional towns were also built in the desert. Of the three towns or cities, two of them contain individual temples to Medok and Helo. A third temple to Fathi rests on a rise just outside the desert. There are no watchtowers in the desert, but one was constructed on the edge, just before it. Two more rest near the main roads. On the other side of the desert however, is a massive fortress that was later constructed by a devout sect of black dragons. Kyndrinth and his army often trained there as well. They call this place the Immortal Fortress, Ummarteli Preisuduom. A small sliver of scattered farmlands also exist right next to the sea on the other side of the mountains that contain the desert. This area is just north of the fortress that rests on a secluded beach. It is here in this particular location that most elite dragonborn have trained, honing their skills as masters of death.

Cheldrynth

Cheldrynth is an area where much of it rests at a fairly increased elevation. All that, save for a large beach, that spans for miles and miles. The rest of the region contains lush green and golden lands that blend together in a brilliant beauty. Much of it is farmland, but the areas closest to the Golden Lake, Eoriom Lecom, are more developed. Near the lake is the Mans Cendins. The glowing mountain can be seen far in the distance as a beacon for all dragons, as the summit glows with a warming energy. Beneath the mountain rests the Carvern or Radiance, Cevirne Folgarus. Another cave, the Ahset Mantim Seltom, joins the lands of Cheldrynth with Vaedhe. Cheldrynth is also home to eight different forests.

The gold dragons of Cheldrynth have cemented their society here. Most towns are farming communities. But some have become centers for trade and training posts for the Emperor’s paladins, warriors of the light. They had long ago erected two watchtowers and built a temple as an oath to their righteous cause. The Timplom Eoriom is a holy place, not just for the paladins, but for all gold dragons seeking the power of the light and its blessed radiance. In order to protect these beautiful lands, the Sea-Side Fortress of Merutumom Cestillom was built to keep those coming up the beach at bay, and as a training location for the most elite paladin units. The paladins themselves fall under the authority of Cheldrynth, centered at Cestrom Eorom, which rests on an island in the middle of the lake.

Ghetsa

Spanning the southern bridge of Cheldrynth, Pans Einios Eoretos, is the region of Ghetsa. The area is a divided landmass separated by massive canyons several miles wide. A river system below empties the interior lakes and aquifers into the sea far eastward. The outward land masses are full of greenery, but as you travel inward, the areas start to become more arid. Still, four forests, well known for their natural, wild orchards, remain fervent in the lands. In the northeast, the ancient static cavern, Stebulu Cevirnei, lies as a monument to the dangerous natural phenomenon that occurs in this region.

The bronze dragons have made Ghetsa their home. Their seat power rests in the bronze fortress, Einiom Cestrom, found on the western edge of Ghetsa. Throughout the area seven individual towns had been established. Their shining jewel, Cuvutes Eirie, the City of Bronze. It is here that a great amount of trade across the entirety of Udari takes place, especially in the areas of art. To protect the area, three watchtowers were constructed. Each is tall enough that you can see the entire land of Ghetsa from its highest point. Further to the southeast, the Timplom Folgor sparks with electricity.

Odrois

Odrois is also known to the dragons as the land of lakes. The region has more area covered in water than land. Most lakes and rivers are also quite deep. Their formation, a result of craters and massive fissures, rather than natural water erosion. A combination of 7 lakes are joined together by 7 rivers. Many of the lakes are also connected by some sort of underground river or large aquifer. One in particular features a massive underwater cavern, Elbo Tinibrus Cevirnei. All the underground water connects the lakes and rivers, but it also connects to Eqoe Manti, a large mountain that relieves the underground pressure by turning into a geyser. Two of these lakes are joined by the highest waterfall in Udari, Elbe Ceterecte. The waterlogged lands are rich with life, including six forests. Odrois is also home to the Abiluscos di Fathi. The obelisk of Fathi is one of the three in the land that feature a massive pillar of stone that breaches the heavens. Dragons come here to pray for her courage and virtue. Odrois also contains the Winged Gate, Carno Parte, that protects the Arlin Sanctuary.

The white dragons of Odrois have made up their society here on the lands in the waters. A collection of eight villages or towns were created by the dragons. One was taken by the sahuagin when Lady Adrina was cast to Udari. After that, the sahuagin people established another of their own in a lake that the dragons themselves found uninhabitable. Despite this, they never gave back their lost city of pearls and renamed it for themselves, Mathra. The sahuagin became a thorn in their side for ages and still thrive in the area. To combat this, three watchtowers were added to keep an eye on their activity. The seat of power for the white dragons rests in their fortress, centered above one the lakes in the southeast, Elbom Cestrom. However, not far from there, one can find the Timplom Eqoei. The Temple of Water only slightly rises above the water, the rest lies under the water and even further still underground. In addition to being a holy site for the white dragons, it controls some of the underground waterways that connect the land. This had allowed the dragonborn a means of traveling the swift currents that their ancestors could do with their strong wings. Excessive use of the system, however, can cause the Eqoe Manti to erupt.

Meofi

Meofi is a region where much of it is covered by three massively large forests. Only the areas closest to the coast are not covered by a canopy of trees. Also, much of the water from Odrois gets drained out into a lake on the south side of the mountains where the geyser lies from there. Only some of that water actually makes its way out to sea. Another lake, referred to as the Flomin Car (or River’s Heart) lies protected by the Megnos Rofos Cartix Sulve. It contains a shrine hidden in an underground alcove. This is where the tombs of Navni the Lifebringer, and Nymmas the Overgrowth rest. Draining it to the sea is the Philiasei Flomin. Named after a great earthen spirit that inhabits the land west of it. Along the northern edge of Meofi is also their sacred cave, the Reya Cevirne. This is where the portal to the earthen realm lies, but many dangers also exist here as well. Other unique areas include a rainbow colored meadow covered in brilliantly colored flowers and a field covered in tall grass that is over seven feet tall and turns golden in the fall. South of the Unifictom Mosca Lecos is a beach that is said to remain untouched by the talons of any dragon.

The green dragons established their society here long ago, building many of their villages and small towns in the forests and green landscape, seven in total. An additional harbor was built, keeping watch over the sea, and bringing in trade from other lands. Watching over the land, primarily the forests, are four watchtowers that stand tall above the canopies. Deep in the Vuvufucentim Sulve is also the Sulve Timplom, a druidic temple for the most devout of green dragons to pray. It is also home to a sect of druids, intent on protecting the forests and lands of not only Meofi, but also all of Udari.

Ievo

Ievo is a swamp-like land, covered in marshes, poisonous bogs, and acidic swamps. That doesn’t mean that it is devoid of all life, but instead quite the opposite. Many different creatures have made their homes here, even in the most inhospitable of ones. The land is separated from Andro by Andro-Ievo Flomin and empties into the sea in an area called the As Ievo, or Mouth of Ievo. Life outside the marshes and on more stable land rest in Ievo’s five forests. A secluded beach holds mysteries on the other side of the southern mountains; an interesting place to explore, but also to find many dangers as well. Two grand caverns also exist in this area. The Cevirne Ombrerom is home to the portal to the shadow realm, across the great Swamp of Poison, Pelos Vininu. The other is called the Cavern of Clans, Civirne Femuluerom. It is here that the faces of the great copper dragon leaders are carved into the mountainside just outside the entrance. It is a sacred meeting place for a secret sect of dragons.

The copper dragons dominate the region of Ievo and have set up their own society here. The center of control rests in Coprom Cestrom, and have divided themselves into clans, each with their own specialties for getting the job done. Mercenary units made for hire, the copper dragons had made themselves very useful, especially when subtlety and discreteness is required. Seven clans comprise the majority of the forces, each within their own village or town. One of which however, specializes in an incredibly dark power, honed to deadly skill. The Shadow Temple, Ombre Timplom, holds much of the secrets to this power. In addition, the temple is said to contain a vast trove of information; secrets that most dragons would prefer never to be revealed. Three watchtowers have been constructed to monitor the clans and serve special functions that all clans take advantage of.

Andro

The region of Andro is one that can be easily divided into two main sections. The southwest side contains rich, fertile farmlands. This side of the region contains a large lake that rests up in the mountains and supplies all the water that comes down the waterfall and branches out to the many rivers. The area is also home to five different forests and the Abiluscos di Medok. The Obelisk of Medok is a holy pillar that breaches the heavens. Dragons come here to pray for her strength and power. Across the mountains to the northwest, through the Wasteland Gate, Disirtom Partem, is an inhospitable region. It is a wasteland, sparse with life and little water. Red dragon Tir Initiates come to this area as part of a final test before actually becoming a Tir. There is some water however. A small steaming geyser has formed a small pond atop a large hill. On the far side is also the Talon Gate, Parte Ongoubos, protects the Arlin Sanctuary.

The red dragons have set up their society here in Andro. Most of it, in the southwest fertile lands. Of the seven, two of the villages and towns rest within the wasteland area. The remaining towns are small villages and farms, grouped around the Robrom Cestillom. The Temple of Fire, Timplom Ugnus, lies nearby Medok’s obelisk. Three watch towers on this side of the mountains keep an eye on the largest structure the dragons have ever built. With little trust for the copper dragons, the red dragons of Andro constructed a massive wall that spans the entire southwest edge of the territory. If anything spurs enough interest, they signal the watchtowers to be lit, alerting the red dragon king to worthy threats. On the other side, one additional tower sits in the middle as a way of keeping an eye on any young aspiring Tirs in the midst of their final trial. Also on this side are two fiery caverns. The Flemmiom Cevirnei leads down to the portal that once linked Udari to the elemental plane of fire. The other is a fiery passage that leads under the Ugnim Mantim toward Aemrebeph.

Aemrebeph

Aemrebeph is a region that rests high on a plateau where winds quickly gather and blow forcefully. It would seem that there is always at least a breeze across the region; the air is rarely ever still. The main feature of this land is the massive lake in the center of the area. It additionally supplies all the water that flows downstream into Andro through a single twisting river. In the center of this lake is a large pillar of rock known as The Perch. Although it is a nice place for a blue dragon to stop, rest, and gaze below, the interior of the pillar is a prison for the world’s worst criminals. Aemrebeph is home to six forests, and there is a cave that rests in the mountains to the north. The cave itself is home to grotesque creatures with eight legs, joining Aemrebeph to Phaphnede. The cave linking Aemrebeph to Andro is quite secretive on this side and hard to find. Few actually know of its true location.

The blue dragons are magically and arcane inclined, and have built their lands and society based upon it. Each of the seven towns possess a school dedicated to a particular type of magic. The largest of them, a great city, unifies each of the schools and provides a college to help other blue dragons further their studies beyond. This city is also the unofficial seat of power in Aemrebeph, but the true honor belongs to Ceirole Cestrom. Three additional towers also provide a set of functions for governing the land and the study of magic.

Phaphnede

Phaphnede is a harsh winter land, blanketed in snow all year round. The region is quiet and unassuming, although it is one of the most dangerous, unless of course you’re a silver dragon. Several animals however, have found a way to make their home in the Gilo Mantubos and the seven forests scattered throughout. There is one safe haven. The Phaphnede Celudos Fans, a hot spring high in the mountains. Its heat is well suited for most dragons to come and enjoy. However, red dragons tend to find the water too cool to their liking, and the silver dragons avoid it, being far too hot for them. In addition to the cave that links Phaphnede to Aemrebeph, the Cevirnei Glecuiu is a treacherous cavern filled with massive and sharp shards of ice, a layer of snow, and frozen streams. Here the portal to frost realm can be found.

The silver dragons are quiet and reclusive, but still many live in small communities, 10 in total, which is more than any other region. The silver dragons are watchers. They study everything, and everyone else, from afar. One single watchtower keeps an eye on fire users as the powers of Ergintom Cestrom manage their affairs. Nearby the icy cavern is also the Timplom Glecuiu. The construction is entirely made of ice, but is the only sanctuary from the harsh winds outside. Here the flames burn cold and release ash as snow.

Arlin Sanctuary

The Arlin Sanctuary rests in the very center of the land and is protected by the three gates: the Cresting Gate, the Winged Gate, and the Talon Gate. Each only opens when the festival of Antonus Duulo draws near to allow other dragons to come and enjoy. At all other times, the gates remain closed unless there is a good reason to open it. To do so requires orders from the Emperor. The Sanctuary itself is also protected by a secondary wall of mountains to help protect and slow any invasion. Since dragons can fly, this kept most of the other non-dragons away from their most sacred lands. In this area there are also three different lakes and a large forest.

Since the seat of power for all dragons rests here in the center of the land, so does their temple. It is a massive three-sided pyramid. Within it contains every function the emperor needs to fulfill his duties. In addition, the temple safeguards the heart of Udari, the Forge of Creation. Outside the temple is a large city that springs to life during the festival, Cuvutes Drecanom, although some dragons do stay and live here. It is the only place where any dragon is actually welcome, but most prefer to stay with their kind and not cohabitate.
