World of Udari (Post-Sundering - Heregath)

Heregath is the northern continent of Udari. This has been the primary home to many dwarven clans that emerged from the mountain caves many hundreds of years ago. Heregath, meaning "ultimate wisdom," is so named after the goddess Helo, whose pillar once stood in the center of this land.

North Phaphnede

When Udari sundered, the land of Phaphnede was split apart, divided along the seam that was the Gilo Mantubos. Now the area is open to the sea on its south edge where fishing villages have been set up. It is also the home to the dwarves, and a plethora of beasts that were forced out of their homes. The castle of the silver dragons was completely destroyed, and a large mountain jutted out from the earth. North Phaphnede is divided into two regions. The Sundered Coast lies on its southern edge until passing the village, Erizma, which lies in the pass between Dun Araznurm and the Yamnohgic Forest. The Lanche Winterland lies beyond that, and the most unforgiving cold of all.

Ylri

After the sundering the volcanoes of the region became increasingly more active. The southern region is covered in thick ash and the shape of the canyon changed drastically. The lava pools also opened considerably and the bridges spanning them had to be rebuilt. In addition, a forest that was once part Phaphnede was absorbed into Ylri’s territory. The comet that struck the location of Helo’s obelisk formed a giant well. Dark colored water fills the base. Ylri is now home to dwarven clans traveling eastward, although some dragonborn still live in the southern reaches. Kobolds also now live and do their work in a cave just south of the Brass Castle. Ylri is broken up into two areas. The Fothar Highlands is a region still rich with lush farmland and trees. This is alsol where the Well of Helo lies. Just south of that as the hill narrows into a large canyon is the Valley of Avni.

Vaedhe

The sundering largely devastated the western part of Vaedhe. The River of Life opened up and its direction changed course for death to life, emptying into a narrow river delta. A new tower, constructed by the dwarves, was also erected here. The landscape shifted slightly forming the first of the three main areas of Vaedhe. The Thana Ridge is where dwarves, once coming from North Phaphnede, finally came to rest. Continuing eastward, below the ridge is the Ahset Basin. Connecting it is the Khes Kavuk Stair. A dwarven construction, that after completion, led them to the remaining black dragonborn. Further east remains the great desert that the black dragons established long ago, the Voiceless Wastes. The shifting sands partially destroyed much of what is left, but still remains functional.

Cheldrynth

When the sundering happened the land here changed quite significantly. The mountains that stretched across the southern border were destroyed and fell into the ocean, leaving a string of small islands in its wake. Other mountains rose and segregated other areas. The northern forests and villages were relocated and the cave that joined Cheldrynth to Vaedhe was effectively destroyed. Cheldrynth is now primarily the home to two main groups of humans. However, among them are a sparse group of dragonborn and a few elves. The region is divided into three main areas, each named by the heroic wives of the late Emperor Urzio, all of which are no longer with us as well. The Agni Reach comprises the beach area to the west. It also includes the secluded ridge on its north side. The Senzi Rise is the main central region that rests on the original plateau. Finally, the Matru Coast lies below the ridge on the south side.

The Cresting Isles

The Cresting Isles is what remains of the inner circle of mountains that once protected the Arlin Sanctuary. Access to this chain of islands is better gained by a hidden beach on the inner side of Cheldrynth. The islands are not known to be inhabited, and no one group has ever bothered to stake any claim to them. For now, they are merely the home to sea-fairing creatures and elementals left over from a long forgotten war.
