World of Udari (Post-Sundering - Ferathi)

Ferathi is the eastern continent of Udari. This is the primary birthplace of the humans who were placed here long ago where they have since thrived. In addition, the elves sprouted up in the Shalendren Valley of Odrois before splitting up and dividing their heritage. Ferathi, meaning "ultimate courage," is so named after the goddess Fathi, whose pillar once stood in this land.

Ghetsa

When Udari was sundered the land of Ghetsa was ripped apart from Cheldrynth, the canyons that once made up the area were attacked by the sea. Flooding and erosion changed the landscape. Now most of the region is a close-knit set of islands. The bronze dragons here barely survived, but the section of land where their castle laid was spared the onslaught of the sundering. Humans have made their home amongst the isles, now referred to as the Lightning Isles. It is made up of the 17 islands (most with their own names), the Ya’ar Miklat Peninsula and the small section of mainland that touches the rest of Ferathi. The westward section that is now secluded, is only accessible through Odrois or up the mechanical lifts where the bronze dragonborn call Bastion.

Odrois

The inland nature of Odrois protected it much during the sundering, but it was not left completely unscathed. Many of the lakes and rivers were modified or changed course. The waterfall, still the tallest in the land, is now also the widest. It is a surprise that it dumps so much water from lake to lake and still stays flowing, especially now that the upper lake is now open to the sea through a small river. A section of mountains also bloomed from the ground in the middle that shaded a section of Odrois from rainfall. Because of this, the area is now a desert. The comet that struck the remains of Fathi’s obelisk left a massive hole in the ground that teems with life, filled with fauna and flora. Odrois is one of the most diverse in Udari, giving the chance for many different peoples to live amongst its lands. Although humans primarily dominate the area, it is also home to the elves, gnomes, bugbears, sahuagin, and goliaths. Because of these, many property lines have been drawn, breaking the area into four areas. Shalendra is the elven sanctuary that comprises the mountains in the middle of the region and valley within them. The Uplands consist of the northern and western ridges. The Tisdiac Plaines comprise the lower areas of the north of Shalendra and reach as far south as the northern edge of Qiutian Lake. The remaining area south of that line to the far side of Mythawar Lake is part of the Sahuagin Lowlands.

Meofi

Meofi also managed to survive the sundering with little damage or modifications to the land. The river that once flowed through here however, opened up, destroying the shrine and the river’s heart. It now spans from sea to sea. The area where the shrines once stood have turned into massive vortices. They drain most of the ocean's water and spew forth fresh water in return, saving the land from complete devastation. On the northeast portion of Meofi, the once untouched beach, is now a blackened wetland. The forest and all the life that once existed here fell into the lake and have rapidly decomposed over the years. What is left is a black oily substance that blankets the marsh and lands east of it. Some humans here have found it to be a significant fuel source and have been harvesting it ever since. In addition to the humans, Meofi is also home to elves, halflings, and a single clan of orcs. The green dragonborn also managed to survive and still remain, deep within their forest in the south. Their temple however was greatly destroyed, causing them to lose much of their faith. As a result, a group of elves and humans showed renewed interest in saving the land. Renewing the dragon’s faith, they rebuilt the temple and turned the area into a small village called the Yralissa Enclave. The Yralissa contain a specialized group of druids intent on protecting and healing the land. Meofi is divided into two regions. The area north of the Umilythe River is referred to as the Clarenwood Coast. The area south of the river is called Philiasei. The Umilythe River itself and the three bridges that span it have no claims placed upon them.

East Ievo

East Ievo is what now remains of the copper dragon lands after it was divided in two after the sundering. The copper dragons that survived, rebuilt their lands here and established themselves as mercenary forces, many of which now serve on the seas. The two port towns on either side greatly serve this purpose. Before the sundering, this particular area became the site of the final battle against Zaric’s rampage. The copper dragons chose to keep his body here and bind it within a shrine deep in the forest. Here they keep a close eye on it, even when the forest that surrounds it had turned black. Afterward, East Ievo also became known as Zaric’s Rest.

Calestar Haven

After the sundering the island now known as Calestar Haven appeared from the ocean depths. It is a strange mysterious place with an energy all its own. The elves that came into Meofi were forced here long ago. They established the island for themselves and came to call themselves wood elves.

The Winged Isles

This string of islands remain as the broken section mountains that surrounded the Winged Gate after the world was sundered. The Winged Gate itself still stands, albeit in ruins. The rest of the islands are home to many different sea creatures and monsters. Due to this the islands remain uninhabitable, save possibly for one hermit who has lived there for many years.
